There were a few shock waves set off in Torrington yesterday when the folks at the Warner Theatre read that actress Shirley MacLaine, 77, was added to the cast of the popular PBS series, “Downton Abbey.” The rports said the the actrtess would be filming her role in the spring iun London.
MacLaine is booked for the Warner Theatre in an “Evening with…” show March 24, which was postponed from the spring of 2011.
But Steve Criss, marketing director at the Warner, says that he was in contact with MacLaine’s bookers who assured him the Connecticut show is still a “go.”
