Memphis Belle Takes Flight
The B-17 Flying Fortress Memphis Belle attracted quite a bit of attention while parked at Brainard Airport in Hartford during a visit to the city Monday. The WWII aircraft operated by the non-profit Liberty Foundation operates the plane as a living museum. The plane is open to the public to see on the ground or for $450, a short flight around the area. Public flights and ground tours are available Aug. 17-18. Read more at Java blog.
