Thousands of jailbirds made a 3-mile run for freedom Saturday morning during the Fugitive Mud Run held at Ski Sundown in New Hartford. Runners first had to escape from their bindings before climbing the "Pen" walls and starting their journey toward freedom. The uphill course was strewn with obstacles such as walls, tunnels, mud pits, and guard posts.
