Esquire Features Story On William Petit

An in-depth feature on Dr. William Petit titled "Survivor" is featured in the June/July issue of Esquire magazine that hits the stands on Monday.

Written by Ryan D'Agostino, the story focuses on Petit's life after the 2007 horrific Cheshire home invasion that resulted in the deaths of Petit's wife, Jennifer Hawke-Petit, and their two daughters, Michaela and Hayley Petit.

Steven Hayes has been sentenced to death in connection with the break-in and deaths, and a jury is being selected for accomplice Joshua Komisarjevsky's trial, set to begin in September. Petit, who was severely beaten in the break-in, was the sole survivor.

The feature includes Hayes' trial, Petit's recollection of the invasion, his past and the Petit Family Foundation he established in his wife and daughter's memories.
