Hartford's Camp Courant celebrated its 119th year serving the children of the greater Hartford area Friday evening, Sept. 20, with a Super-Hero-themed fundraiser. The evening included food and beverages from area restaurants, live music, and a silent auction. The Farmington camp is the largest free summer day camp in the nation. Each year the camp serves more than 1,000 children between the ages of 5 and 12 who live in Hartford, allowing them to participate in a variety of recreational and educational activities.
