As part of New Haven’s annual International Festival of Arts & Ideas, the Yale Center for British Art on Wednesday and Thursday, June 17 and 18 will present two screenings of "Mr. Turner," the 2014 biopic of British "painter of light" J.M.W. Turner, and a talk with one of the world’s most well-respected film directors, Mike Leigh, who made the film.
The screenings are at 7:30 p.m. at Whitney Humanities Center, 53 Wall St. The Andrew Carnduff Ritchie Lecture “A Conversation with Mike Leigh” will be Thursday, June 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the lecture hall at Yale University Art Gallery, 1111 Chapel St.
