The Eighth Annual Southington YMCA Polar Plunge

The Southington YMCA held its Eighth Annual Polar Plunge on Saturday, Jan. 19, at the YMCA Camp Sloper, 1000 East Street, Southington. Under clear blue skies hundreds of participants braved the icy cold waters of Slopers Pond to raise money for the YMCA's outdoor programs. According to Southington YMCA Executive Director John Myers the Polar Plunge event was able to generate over $24,000 for these programs.
