Growing Great Schools hosted Chefs Do School Lunch at West Hartford's Hall High School Thursday night The night was a taste test for families to sample chef's visions of what future school lunches could be in West Hartford. Menu items included butternut squash mac and cheese, barbecue chicken, roasted chicken chowder, tilapia with rice and beans, a taco salad bar, pizza and pumpkin bread. The chefs' children helped them prepare the food in Hall's kitchen. Featured chefs included Hunter Morton and Esther Pryor of Max Downtown, Billy Grant of Grant’s and Bricco, Chris Torla of Trumbull Kitchen, Tony Camilleri of Rizzuto’s, KC Ward of Restaurant Bricco and Scott Kluger of Hartford Baking Company.
