White Clam Pizza from Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana
The white clam pizza from Pepe's is arguably Connecticut's most iconic food. Made with freshly shucked clams, olive oil, oregano, garlic and grated Pecorino cheese and fired in a coal oven, the pie - which dates back to 1925 - routinely appears on national "best of" lists and travel guides.
