According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the citizen's arrest was phoned in around 1 a.m. on Friday by Miller's car driver on the 6900 block of Camrose Drive in Hollywood. Miller was charged with battery, issued a citation, and released from custody on Friday with a promise to appear in court to reconcile the issue with the victim.
The Chicago stand-up veteran was photographed earlier that evening with his wife, actress Kate Gorney, attending the GQ Men of the Year party, which took place at the Chateau Marmont, and Vulture's awards season party at the Sunset Tower Hotel.
Miller is known for his starring role on the HBO sitcom "Silicon Valley." His performance as Erlich Bachman in the series has earned him two Critics' Choice Television Awards nominations and one win. He has recently made the rounds promoting his new film "Office Christmas Party," which was partially filmed in Chicago. The film also stars Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman.
The comedian's upcoming projects include "Emojimovie," Steven Spielberg's "Ready Player One," and "How to Train Your Dragon 3." He is also expected to host the 2016 Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday.
