Tired of the "Real Housewives"? Sick of watching "Say Yes to the Dress"? Us too. That's why we were stoked—wait, make that horribly frightened, then stoked—to hear about a whole new lineup of reality shows and new, interesting castmembers being added to the old favorites. Here's a peek. ARIEL@TRIBUNE.COM | @MISSARIEL
"Dancing with the Stars"
In order of ridiculosity: Snooki, Mike Tyson, Rob Kardashian, Dina Lohan, Nick Jonas and Christina Milian have all been named as potential contenders next season.
Disaster potential: Tyson bites Snooki's pouf off.
Premieres: Sept. 19
"The Shannen Doherty Project"
The ex-Brenda Walsh is embarking on her third marriage, this time to photographer Kurt Iswarienko. Oh, yeah, and they're bringing TV cameras along.
Disaster potential: The network says the happy couple simultaneously is renovating their home. Did someone say plumbing problems on the Big Day?
Premieres: January 2012
"Top Chef: Just Desserts"
Chicago alert! The Bristol's Amanda Rockman will be one of the pastry chef contestants vying to get their eclairs evaluated by judges. Gail Simmons hosts.
Disaster potential: The kitchen gets uncomfortable after a whipped cream fight.
Premieres: Aug. 24
"Shahs of Sunset"
This show will follow Persian-American friends "unafraid to flaunt their designer clothing, tricked-out cars and boisterous personalities, spending money is no foreign concept to these young socialites."
Disaster potential: Fistfights with Kardashians and "The Hills" stars over prime L.A. dinner reservations.
"Wall $treet Wives"
Thi$ $how $ounds a little redundant in a world where "Mob Wive$" and "The Real Hou$ewive$ of New York City" exi$t$, but OK, $ure.
Disaster potential: What problems do rich ladies have? They'll probably hurl some choice words at each other about, um, weight gain and private school admission.
Premieres: TBD (currently in the casting stage)
Keep an eye on these, too
>> "Heidi Fleiss: Prostitutes to Parrots" (July 31)
>> "Project Runway" Season 9 premiere (July 28)
