As Chevy did last year, the bargain-basement "Mexican" chain puts forward an ad whose only animating idea is to make fun of the olds. In this case, we see geezers sneaking out at night to party raucously, get tattoos and -- gasp -- make out. That it's all shot with a kind of Diane Arbus rawness only emphasizes the revulsion or smugness we are supposed to feel. You know what really is revolting, though? The feeling you have after a Taco Bell meal. The only thing interesting in this ad is the decision to use a Spanish-language version of fun.'s "We Are Young" -- and it's weird-interesting, rather than good-interesting.
