Maybe Lady Gaga isn’t so different after all.
The pop star known for her eccentric outfits and music videos admitted during an interview with Sirius XM Hits 1 radio Friday that she has a hard time resisting Chicago pizza like the rest of us.
“I love ordering Chicago pizza,” Gaga said. “It’s so bad. My boyfriend caught me once eating it in the bathroom in the middle of the night. I woke up in the middle of the night and I found a piece that was sitting by the bed or something and I walked into the bathroom and I was eating it. I just heard the (sound of the) door open and I had the pizza in my mouth and he just shook his head at me and said, ‘That is just shameful.’ “
Try living next to a Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Gaga. Every day is a struggle for me.
Gaga didn’t say which Chicago pizza joint is her favorite, but she was spotted at Lou Malnati’s in River North and Pizano’s Pizza in the Loop last year. And if you’re wondering how she still manages to stay in shape, Gaga has also been spotted at Reform Chicago pilates studio in River North and, reportedly, Bikram Yoga River North studio.
On Monday, Gaga will release her third studio album, “Artpop.” She said the album is inspired, in part, by Chicago because she has spent plenty of time here while her boyfriend Taylor Kinney films NBC’s “Chicago Fire.
“I’ve been living a lot in Chicago, mostly, and I actually find Chicago to be really, really cool about me and what I do,” Gaga told Sirius XM. “It became a big source of inspiration on the album with R. Kelly and DJ White Shadow, who is from Chicago, and also just becoming interested in how Chicago music affected French house and techno music as well as German techno and house music. It just sort of became something that I really became obsessed with. And they let me go out and have drinks. …”
