Friday-Sept. 22: Antietam's 150th

The sesquicentennial of the bloodiest single day of the American Civil War, the Battle of Antietam, will be commemorated by the National Park Service with a series of events through Sept. 22, and by the nearby town of Sharpsburg with its Heritage Festival Sept. 15-16.<br>
