7. A worthy serial killer opponent

Every season, Dexter has a serial killer opponent that runs through the episodes, usually imparting some wisdom to him. The Trinity Killer (John Lithgow, above) showed him that a future was possible, but also showed him what future he wanted. Hannah McKay taught him that love and compassion were possible for him to have. Hopefully, this final serial killer will prove both worthy and wise.
