'American Idol' recap, Top 10 revealed
After 39 million votes, America has spoken and last night our top 10 were revealed.

After the sad stories, bad singing, tone-deaf family members and forgotten lyrics, it's been a long, noisy road, but we're finally here.

We learned who our top 5 guys would be and the top 5 ladies that would join them over the next weeks on the quest to become the next "American Idol."

My earlier predictions were:

Curtis Finch jr.

Let's see how I did.

First guy to be called is Paul Jolly. One for Paul and none for me. Paul's victory song was "Alone" by Heart and his performance was quite impressive. Welcome to the top 10, Jolly.

2. Burnell. Yay! Singing India Arie's "Ready for Love," America was definitely ready for our little Louisiana favorite. Burnell truly earned his spot.

3. It's Curtis Finch Jr. No surprises here, appropriately singing John Legend's "So High." I've got ole CJ up there for a while.

4. Devin. I was surprised that Devin made it, but once he sang his victory song, I think it was quite obvious how and why he's made it this far. Mom got to come up and give hugs and the bilingual crooner is safe and secure for a little while at least.

5. Final slot ... Lazaro! Victory song: "Bridge Over Troubled Water." Mariah said it best: Lazaro is in this competition because not only can Lazaro sing, but America related to him on so many levels. Well deserved indeed.

Shockers for the boys. We say good bye to resident misfit Charlie askew and our pop heartthrob Elisah.

We got to watch a recap of the ladies' journey and then they were announced.

My picks were:
