Aberdeen Central students will present Pop, Popcorn and Pops Concert Friday nightMay 10 at the Golden Eagles Arena.
The music starts at 7 p.m.
Performing will be the grades 9-12 Orchestra, the Eagle Band, Eagle Choir, Concert Choir, A Cappella Choir, Symphonic Band, the Vocal Jazz, Special Request Show Choir, Eagle Express Show Choir, Jazz Central Station Jazz Band and Jazz Express Jazz Band
Table seating is sold out. Bleacher seats, which are available at the door, are $4.
Pop and popcorn will be available.
The Central Orchestra, directed by Karen Anderson, will play “221B Baker Street” and “Orion and the Scorpion.”
Eagle Choir will sing “In My Life,” “I Won't Give Up” and “Happy Together.” The director is Jenna Hansen.
Directed by Jeremy Schutter, the Eagle Concert Band will perform the theme to “Flashdance” and a Bon Jovi medley.
The Concert Choir will sing “Love Potion No. 9,” “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “Proud Mary.” “Can't Buy Me Love,” “Pure Imagination” and “Viva La Vida” will be sung by the A Cappella Choir. The Concert and A Cappella choirs are directed by Mary Beth Kelly.
The Symphonic Band, directed by Jerry Letcher, will play the “Raiders March” from “Star Wars” and the theme to “The Lion King.”
Vocal Jazz will perform “Moonglow,” “For Lisa” and “Somebody That I Used to Know.” The group is directed by Ron Parker and Kelly.
Jeremy Schutter directs Jazz Express, which will play “I Got Chili Pepper,” “One More Song” and “That's How We Roll.”
Special Request Show Choir will perform “Power of Love,” “Shop Around,” “No Bout a Doubt It,” “You Haven't Seen the Last of Me” and “Love Is on Our Side.” Special Request is directed by Susan Appl and Jenna Hansen.
Jazz Central, directed by Letcher, will play “Coconut Champagne,” “Always and Forever” and “Critical Mass.”
Eagle Express will perform “Awake and Alive,” “Louder than Words,” “All for the Best,” “I Can't Stand Still,” “Here to Stay” and “Peace and Love Inc.” That group is directed by Appl and Melledy Rostad.
