Norfolk’s losing streak reached four as Lehigh Valley beat the South Division-leading Tides 4-2 Saturday night in Allentown, Pa.
Tides starter Zach Britton gave up just two runs in seven innings, but reliever Jake Arrieta took the loss.
In the eighth, Josh Fields stole second and scored the tiebreaking run on a single by Leandro Castro, who later scored on an Arrieta wild pitch. Brandon Wood’s single in the sixth drove in both Norfolk runs, tying the game.
Jarrett Parker of Fredericksburg continued his recent hot streak with Richmond. The former Virginia Cavalier slugged two home runs as the Flying Squirrels routed host Altoona 12-5. Andrew Susac belted a three-run homer for the Squirrels (24-23).
