CNU (13-2, 6-1) took the lead for good against the Scots (7-9, 3-5) at 63-62 on Tra Benefield’s 3-pointer with 4:58 left, which began a 9-0 run. Benefield had 19 points, and Mike Cherry had 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Spencer Shoffner had 16 points for Maryville.

Tevin Andrews had 22 points and 13 rebounds and Latrone Demiel added 16 points to lead Apprentice (12-6) to a home win in the Martin Luther King Classic.

Manny Atkins, a transfer from Virginia Tech, scored 21 points as the Panthers' earned their first victory ever at the Constant Center in Norfolk.
Kecoughtan High graduate Dimitri Batten paced ODU (2-16, 0-6) with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting, and Donte Hill chipped in 13 points. The Monarchs, the only team left in the CAA without a victory in conference action, have lost six in a row.
R.J. Hunter, Panthers coach Ron Hunter's standout freshman son, had 20 points, while Devonta White had 15 points and seven assists. James Vincent added 12 rebounds and four blocks.
