Treveon Graham had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Melvin Johnson netted 21 points Wednesday as VCU (20-5, 8-2) took sole possession of second place in the Atlantic 10 with a 92-75 home victory over George Washington (19-5, 7-3).

Davon Usher scored 34 points as host Delaware (19-7, 11-0) extended its Colonial Athletic Association dominance by beating James Madison 81-65.

With 10 to 14 inches of snow falling outside Cameron Hall in Lexington, Coastal Carolina overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to defeat VMI 83-78.

Chanticleers freshman Elijah Wilson poured in a season-high 26 points while knocking down 11 of 16 shots and going 3-for-3 from 3-point range.

Khobi Williamson had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers (12-10, 6-7).


Jessica Lyons scored 12 points and Pryncess Tate-Dublin, a transfer from Old Dominion, added 10 to lead Virginia State (20-1, 11-1 CIAA) -- ranked 13th in NCAA Division II -- to a 51-47 victory over Chowan (11-13, 5-7) in Petersburg.

George Mason (7-18, 1-11) got out of the A-10 cellar with a 101-73 home victory over Massachusetts (3-22, 0-11).

Janaa Pickard had 11 rebounds and a career-high 25 points for the Patriots, who scored in triple digits for the first time in 20 seasons. Taylor Brown added 25 points, seven assists, seven rebounds and four steals.
