The Boo Williams Summer League's 16-under elite girls basketball team heads for Dallas this weekend for the Top 16 Elite Invitational.
BWSL will play four games against teams from Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Boo's team was idle last weekend. The previous week, th team won its pool in the Nike Invitational in Hampton, but lost in the quarterfinals to eventual runner-up Georgia Stars.
Woodside's Adrienne Motley and Kecoughtan's Chelsey Romero are the only Peninsula players on the team.
Motley was one of the leading scorers during the Nike Invitational and was the only BWSL player to score in double figures in each of the four games.
The team takes a break after this weekend and doesn't play again until competing in the Rumble in the Bronx in New York city June 1-3. Then it's off until the Junior Nationals in Hampton July 6-8.

The boys' elite team is idle this week, taking a week off bewteen the second and third weekend of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League.
Next weekend's games are in Dallas, where the BWSL team will play five games.
Boo's team is currently 4-5 almost halfway through its 20-game schedule. There are 40 teams involved in the EYBL with the top 24 qualifying for the Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.c., in July. That's Nike's summer championship tournament.
BWSL went 3-2 last weekend during the EYBL's second weekend in Hampton, but need to improve considerably over the final two EYBL weekends.
The top five teams in each of the four divisions automatically qualify for the Peach Jam, plus four wild-card teams.
At 4-5, Boo's team is two games behind Baltimore Nike Elite for fifth place in Division D.
Teams have to have a winning record to advance, which means Boo's team needs to win at least six of its final 11 games to be eligible.
After next weekend, the team stays at home for the Hoop Group Southern Jam May 18-20, then goes to San Francisco over Memorial Day weekend for the final set of EYBL games.Copyright © 2015, CT Now
