Duke of Gloucester Street

Taken shortly after the Civil War, this view from the College of William and Mary's Wren Building shows Duke of Gloucester Street much as it looked during the March 29, 1863 Palm Sunday raid in which Confederate forces killed, captured and wounded numerous Union cavalrymen during a firefight on the street.
