Kenny Sloane develops new lunch menu for Virginia Gourmet

Virginia Gourmet now serves lunch featuring dishes created by chef Kenny Sloane and his staff from Fin Seafood in Newport News.

Menu items include Bison Hot Dogs with Mustard Slaw; Veggie Wrap with Portabella Mushrooms, Goat Cheese, Tomato & Lettuce; and Pimento Cheese BLT Tacos.

There are various salads such as Organic Quinoa with roasted red peppers, squash, spring onions, Parmesan cheese, and asparagus pesto, and soups such as Chicken Ginger Turmeric Soup with Gluten Free Pasta, and Split Pea Soup with Country Ham.

And you can finish your meal with Honeysuckle Sorbet, gluten-free cupcakes or another sweet.

You can dine in or get take-out, and there are daily lunch specials. Virginia Gourmet also sells Virginia products and offers organic, all-natural items made on the premises.

Sloane also is perfecting a series of ice creams and sorbets using Virginia Gourmet products. Flavors include fruit tea, ginger tumeric and habanero apple.
