A teen who was last seen Sunday in Hampton has been found, city police said Tuesday night.
Melissa Trull, 16, was found in Virginia Beach unharmed and is in her mother's custody, Hampton police said in a tweet the FBI confirmed to them.
Trull, who was considered endangered because she takes medication she did not have with her, was last seen walking in the area of Pershing Court and Weaver Road, Hampton Police Division spokeswoman Cpl. Mary Shackelford said.
She was taken to a friend’s house to spend the night, according to Shackelford, and was last seen getting out of a vehicle that was being operated by the guardian of the friend.
Trull may have met an unknown man online and could have been in his company, according to an alert from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
