DeGraw will perform 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at William and Mary Hall's Kaplan Arena, as part of the school's Charter Day celebration. Tickets, $30 and $40 for the general public, are on sale from the William and Mary ticket office and online.
Having trouble connecting hit songs with that name? DeGraw, who started singing as a young man in upstate New York, has lodged a number of tunes in the Billboard Top 40 in recent years. "In Love with a Girl," and "I Don't Want to Be" were reasonable hits in 2008 and 2005, respectively, and "Not Over You" peaked at No. 18 just last year.
DeGraw has also appeared on "Dancing with the Stars" on ABC television.
Pennsylvania indie-rock group Good Old War will open Saturday's show.
William and Mary's Charter Day, which is officially observed Feb. 8, marks the birth of the college by Royal charter.
The event is being sponsored by Global Flight Relief, a non-profit organization based in Newport News that provides air transportation solutions for humanitarian and disaster relief agencies around the world.
