GREAT DATES Got a suggestion for a great date in Connecticut? Romantic restaurant? Picnic in the park? Monster truck rally? Share your ideas. 1. I think that eating beneath the grape leaves on the porch at Mavi Restaurant in Bloomfield is truly romantic. There are so many beautiful flowers there that romance is in the air. I second Cafe routier. Place is super chill. The Mood Lounge (attached to the bar) is really laid back. Mood music!!!! Small plates of yumminess and creative martinis. Be sure to make reservations - and when you arrive, prepare to relax in the laid back atmosphere that resembles that of a Norwegian Spa! Excellent food, terrific desserts. Thumbs up! Brie & Bleu in New London a neat little restaurant/cheese emporium and the unbelievable Thames River WineShop next door make it a romantic trip no matter what time of the day!
