Space Expo at the New England Air Museum
The New England Air Museum, 36 Perimeter Rd., in Windsor Locks, held its annual Space Expo Sunday, April 7, inviting families and space enthusiasts to the museum for an "opportunity to learn about the past, present and future of space exploration." Fifteen exhibitors from across New England attended the event offering learning labs and hands on activities included trying on space suits, building model rockets, and touching a 70 pound meteorite. Former astronaut Col. Jerry Ross (USAF Ret.), the first human to be launched in space seven times, was also at the event to speak about his experiences.

Former astronaut Col. Jerry Ross (USAF Ret.) autographs a copy of his memoir "Spacewalker" at the New England Air Museum's Space Expo Sunday afternoon. Col. Ross was the first human to be launched into space seven times, a record he now shares with one other person. Col. Ross retired from NASA in January 2012 after a 32-year career.
