Naperville Unit District 203 has hired two new administrators for the upcoming school year.
Michelle Fregoso of Naperville has been named director of communications, replacing Susan Rice, who left in January. Her annual salary is $90,000, district officials said.
Fregoso currently serves as director of university communications and external relations at Lewis University in Romeoville. She also is an adjunct instructor at the university. She has a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master's degree in organizational leadership from Lewis University.
The district also recently hired Marion Friebus-Flaman of Hoffman Estates to be the director of language acquisition services overseeing the dual language and English Language Learners programs. Her salary was set at $97,500. Friebus-Flaman most recently worked as principal of Thomas Dooley Elementary School in Schaumburg where she helped develop a Japanese-English two-way immersion program. She also teaches graduate courses in multicultural education and assessment of language minority students at Northern Illinois University.
Friebus-Flaman has a bachelor's degree in English from Southern Illinois University, a master's degree in teaching English as a second language from the University of Illinois, a master's degree in educational administration from Northern Illinois University and a doctorate in education from Capella University.
