Michael W. Weaver has been promoted to partner in the Chicago office of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. Prior to joining McDermott, Weaver served as a law clerk for Chief Justice F. Michael Kruse and Associate Justice Lyle L. Richmond of the High Court of American Samoa. During law school, he was the Executive Editor for Student Articles for the Loyola Law Journal and a Philip H. Corboy Fellow in Trial Advocacy. Weaver served as a legal intern for the Honorable Ann Claire Williams of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit as well as for the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and American Samoa. Weaver earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree from George Washington University.
