John Thompson Jr. joins Hewitt EnnisKnupp as a partner and head of investment solutions in the Institutional Advisory Solutions practice. He will provide institutional clients with customized investment solutions including global asset allocation, global investment manager research, risk management and portfolio construction advisory services, and alternative solutions across hedge funds, private equity and real estate. 

Thompson brings more than 12 years of investment leadership experience from Morningstar Investment Management, where he focused on advisory, consulting, implementation, management, and portfolio management. Most recently, he was senior vice president, head of investment implementation, and oversight. Before joining Morningstar, Thompson held several senior investment leadership positions with Ibbotson Associates.

Thompson holds a Bachelor's degree from Truman State University, and a Master's degree and MBA from the University of Chicago.
