Megan R. Rooney has been promoted to partner in the Chicago office of McDermott Will & Emery LLP.  As a member of the Health Department, Rooney maintains a general health law practice, focusing her practice on the representation of hospitals and health systems. She has experience in all aspects of health law transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, joint ventures and system restructurings for hospitals and other health care providers. Rooney also advises hospital and health system clients on regulatory compliance with licensure, accreditation and other state and federal regulatory matters. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys and the American Bar Association.

Rooney earned her J.D. from Northwestern Law School (Certification in Health Law).  She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.
