William Monroe, vice president of corporate investigations, Health Care Service Corporation

William Monroe, a 20-year FBI Veteran, will join Health Care Service Corporation as vice president, corporate investigations in the special investigations and security department. He will be responsible for key areas of corporate investigations for HCSC and its subsidiaries. This position will provide oversight of the special investigations staff in developing programs designed to prevent, detect and investigate fraudulent activities. 

Most recently, Monroe served as the acting special agent in charge of the FBI's Chicago field office. Prior to that, he held such positions as assistant special agent in charge and supervisory special agent.

Monroe holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin. He also has extensive training through executive education programs with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
