U.S. Cellular has appointed Kenneth R. Meyers president and chief executive officer. Meyers has been executive vice president and chief financial officer of Telephone and Data Systems Inc., the majority owner of U.S. Cellular. He is a director of U.S. Cellular and TDS. He joined U.S. Cellular in 1987 and held several senior management positions, including executive vice president and CFO. Meyers became executive vice president and CFO of TDS in 2007. Before joining U.S. Cellular, Meyers worked for Imi-Tech Corporation, a plastics manufacturing company, where he served successively as controller, treasurer, and vice president of finance. Prior to that, he held several positions, including division controller and audit manager, with the Marmon Group. Meyers, a certified public accountant, received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree from Loyola University.
