Dr. Michael D. Kelleher, 55, has been appointed chief medical officer for Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children¿s Hospital of Chicago. He has served as the interim CMO since September. Kelleher joined Lurie Children¿s, formerly Children¿s Memorial Hospital, in 2003 as an attending physician in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). He has served as the hospital¿s chief medical information officer and an associate chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Kelleher completed his internship, residency and fellowship at University of Chicago¿s Wyler Children¿s Hospital, where he later became an attending physician in the PICU. Currently he is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
