Mark T. Carberry, litigation partner, Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP

Mark T. Carberry has joined Neal Gerber Eisenberg LLP as a partner in its securities and commodities litigation practice group, and will bring his extensive expertise to bear in representing clients in a slate of civil, regulatory and enforcement matters in actions across the country. 

Carberry's experience includes civil proceedings in arbitration forums and federal court, conducting internal investigations and defending regulatory and enforcement matters initiated by the SEC, CFTC, DOJ, NASD, NYSE, CME, CBOT, and other regulators, exchanges, and self-regulatory bodies.

Prior to joining the firm, Carberry spent more than a decade working at UBS, serving most recently as counsel to UBS's private wealth management business group. In addition, Carberry also held senior legal positions with AG, wealth management Americas and legal & compliance US. In these roles, he served as an advisor and counsel to senior business partners, branch office management and financial advisors throughout the organization on legal, compliance, and risk management matters. 

Before UBS, Carberry worked in private practice - including as a partner at Neal Gerber Eisenberg from 1990 to 2000 ¿ during which time he focused on all aspects of federal and state corporate, securities and commodities law with a client base consisting of registered investment advisers, broker-dealers, futures commission merchants, investment companies and other national financial services entities. 

Carberry received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from Valparaiso University. Carberry served as a law clerk to the Hon. Luther M. Swygert, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
