MacNeal Hospital has appointed Kathleen Benjamin as the new chief nursing officer. She will oversee more than 400 full-time nursing employees and will be involved in the strategic direction of the hospital and service line management in addition to being a member of MacNeal¿s medical executive committee. She served as interim chief nursuing officer since last summer. Benjamin spent most of her nursing career at MacNeal. She started at the hospital as a patient care technician, working as a graduate nurse, followed by various leadership roles within the organization, including vice president of nursing. Benjamin received a bachelor's and master's degree in nursing at DePaul University in Chicago.
