Charlie Simpson, managing director, Burson-Marsteller Chicago

Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and communications firm, formally announced today the recent hire of Charlie Simpson as a Managing Director in the firm's Chicago office. Simpson is a veteran communications executive with more than twenty years of public relations, marketing and government affairs experience in corporate, health care and not-for-profit organizations. In his new role, he will serve as a specialist in corporate reputation, issues and crisis management and public affairs.

Most recently, Simpson worked as a Senior Vice President in the Chicago office of Porter Novelli, another public relations and communications firm. In this position, Simpson managed communications for a variety of clients, including Dow Chemical Co., Harman International, Invesco PowerShares, Roche Diagnostics and King Pharmaceuticals.
