Urilogical surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Steinberg, 51, has been appointed the new chief executive officer at Weiss Memorial Hospital, one of four Vanguard Health System-owned medical facilities in the Chicago market. He replaces Frank Molinaro, who left in July to lead one of Vanguards hospitals in the Phoenix market. Steinberg comes to Weiss from Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn., where he served as senior vice president for health policy and disparity, and chairman and director of surgery since 2006. Prior to that, Steinberg served as chief of surgery at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass. Steinberg earned his medical degree from Temple University's School of Medicine and served his residency in the Harvard Program in Urology at Brigham & Womens Hospital, Boston, Mass. Steinberg is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, and he is currently working toward a master;s degree in health care management at Harvard School of Public Health.
