Jay Layman, Midwest advisory practice leader, Ernst & Young
Jay Layman has been appointed Midwest Advisory Practice Leader at Ernst & Young LLP.
Layman, who has 24 years of business advisory and consulting experience, will oversee the firm's advisory services across a 12-state region with nearly 600 employees.
Layman, 46, succeeds Craig Johnson who is transferring back to Philadelphia to become advisory practice leader for the firm's East Central region.
Layman's other positions with Ernst & Young include Central Region insurance market leader and Midwest business risk services leader. Before that, he spent 10 years in the financial services industry.
Layman has a B.S. in computer information systems from Purdue University and has . He has completed executive programs at Harvard School of Business and Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management, where he is a fellow of the CEO Perspective Corporate Leadership program.
