A 20-year-old Brookfield man died today following a collision between an SUV and a car near Westchester that left two other people hospitalized.

About 7:05 a.m. Kyle D. Tosh was a front passenger in a Ford Mustang that was eastbound on Cermak Road when it T-boned an SUV that was in the westbound turning lanes attempting to get onto I-294, according to Frank Bilecki, a spokesman for Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart.

“As she started to proceed to make her turn, her vehicle was struck on the right-hand side,’’ Bilecki said.

Tosh, of the 3200 block of Maple Avenue in Brookfield, suffered fatal injuries in the wreck, said Bilecki.

He was pronounced dead at 7:40 a.m. at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

“There were skid marks anywhere from 15-20 feet that indicated the driver of the Mustang tried to slow down or stop before the impact,’’ Bilecki said.

While Bilecki said the crash remains under investigation, the driver of the GMC Arcadia, Barbara Hasil, was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn, Bilecki said.

LaGrange Park resident Eric Hutt, 23, was behind the wheel of the Mustang and was also taken to Loyola for injuries that were not life-threatening, said Bilecki.

Hasil, 69, of Forest Park, was taken to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale with injuries that are not life-threatening.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
