W. Brent Nixon has been named president and chief executive of CTL Group. Nixon will lead this global expert engineering consulting and material sciences firm in the pursuit of technical excellence, client satisfaction and corporate performance. Nixon will take over from Timothy Tonyan, interim president and CEO since June 14. Tonyan will be senior vice president, reporting to Nixon and focusing on business development, project management of multidisciplinary teams, promoting CTLGroup¿s expertise within the industry and managing major client accounts. Nixon has 30 years of experience as an engineer and military veteran in the construction industry. Most recently he was a corporate officer and vice president of science and engineering at Environmental Chemical Corp. (ECC). In the Air Force, he served in several senior engineering management and academic roles. Nixon has a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of South Florida, an MBA from Barry University School of Business and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati.
