'Vampire Diaries,' 'Chuck' coming to C2E2

This year's Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo will be especially nerdy--but cool at the same time. That's because the cast members from "Chuck" and "The Vampire Diaries" will be there.

C2E2, which takes place March 18-20 at McCormick Place, 2301 S. Lake Shore Drive, has more than doubled its TV-related events in its second year. (See the list below.)

From "The Vampire Diaries," Michael Trevino (who plays werewolf Tyler Lockwood), Candice Accola (vampire Caroline Forbes) and co-creator and exec producer Julie Plec will sign autographs and take part in a panel discussion that I will be moderating at 4:45 p.m. March 19. During the panel, the stars will present a "TVD" clip package and answer fan questions leading up to the return of the series April 7.

From "Chuck," cast members Joshua Gomez (Morgan Grimes), Ryan McPartlin (Captain Awesome), Vik Sahay (Lester Patel) and Scott Krinsky (Jeff Barnes) are scheduled to attend along with co-creator/executive producer Chris Fedak. It's a homecoming for McPartlin (photo below), who grew up in the Chicago area. My pal Maureen Ryan from AOL TV's Stay Tuned blog will moderate the panel.
