Brian Herrera, of Plainfield, left, Alexis Banuelos, 18, of Naperville, and Tyler Montgomery, also of Plainfield were killed when Herrera, who was driving a black Ford south on Schlapp Road around 3:15 p.m. Monday, pulled in front of the semi heading east on Illinois Route 126, according to Illinois State Police Trooper Jason Shrake. The car ended up underneath the truck, police said. "They pulled in front of the semi, it was a bad split-second decision," said Shrake. "Everything points to the driver of the car causing the accident." Herrera and 19-year-old Tyler Montgomery, also of Plainfield, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Another passenger in the car, Alexis Banuelos, 18, of Naperville, was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
