Chicago is in the House

Monday evening, I returned to the Olympic Basketball Gymnasium for another USA against China match-up, but this time it was the women's turn to take the court. The US of A dominated the Chinese from start to finish and came away with an easy 108-63 victory. USA players Sylvia Fowles and Tamika Catchings (10) enjoy their 108-63 win over China with Kara Lawson (7) and Diana Taurasi.<br>

The U.S. roster is perhaps the strongest ever and a good amount of that strength comes from four women with Chicago ties -- Cappie Pondexter, a Marshall High School alum, Tamika Catchings from Stevenson, Candace Parker of Naperville Central and the WNBA Chicago Sky's Sylvia Fowles.
