A march for food

A crowd of unemployed and their children march in 1932 to the office of Chicago Public Schools Superintendent William Bogan demanding food. You can see these prints and more images at "The Faces of Need" exhibit at Elmhurst College. At the Barbara A. Kieft Accelerator ArtSpace (in the 200 block of West Park Avenue in Elmhurst, just behind the College’s Mill Theatre). Open 12 p.m.–4 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from March 23 through April 13. Open 12 p.m.–7 p.m. April 8 (in conjunction with the Poverty Project Closing Lecture by author Alex Kotlowitz).
