We had a great time Tuesday night visiting with readers and celebrating our Chicago Tribune colleagues with books on the shelves.
About 60 folks came to talk with us, eat cheese and crackers, and shoot the breeze with Tribune authors Mark Jacob, Jeff Coen and John Chase, Jon Yates, Greg Karp, Gail MarksJarvis, Ted Gregory, Jimmy Greenfield and David Heinzmann.
The highlights of the night for me were seeing some of you talking about investment and finances with Gail MarksJarvis and Greg Karp, the genuine affection several of you expressed for your daily Tribune, and the ideas many of you shared with us for future engagement events.
Plus, it’s good to take in the sweeping skyline views. For drama, you really can’t beat looking out the window at the face of the Wrigley Building clock.
We put up some pictures on our Facebook page. (Not the clock, darn it.) And we look forward to talking more with you in the future.
