The body of a man was pulled from the Chicago River in the South Loop.
Police recovered the body, believed to be that of a man in his 30s or 40s, around 6:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of South Lumber Street, officials said.
The body was brought to the Cook County medical examiner's office, and an autopsy is scheduled for today.
Detectives have opened a death investigation, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan said.
