President Barack Obama speaks as European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso stands on the sidelines in Prague during the new president's first EU-US summit. European leaders were eager for signs that Washington is finally willing to play a new role in cutting greenhouse gas emissions. Obama said the United States was now ready to lead the drive to tackle climate change as EU leaders pushed him to follow their ambitious targets to cut global warming.
