Michael E. Dukes has joined the Chicago office of Fitch, Even, Tabin & Flannery LLP as an associate. A registered patent attorney, Dukes focuses his practice on intellectual property portfolio development and management, including patent preparation and prosecution, licensing and strategic counseling. With a background in chemistry and material science, he counsels clients ranging from start-ups to global corporations in the organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, analytical chemistry, material science, biochemistry, and biotechnology industries. Dukes was previously with the Pittsburgh office of K&L Gates. He holds a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, an M.S. in chemistry from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in chemistry from Washington & Jefferson College.
