"I never really thought much of the long view, I was too invested in the moment." (Bordowitz). Tested HIV positive in 1988. Now: Chair of the Film, Video and New Media department at SAIC. "It's funny because what we did (in the '80s) looks a lot like a prototype for contemporary social-media-based activism. My students, they think nothing of seeing a demonstration from that afternoon already online. That's not miraculous to them at all."
